Kousuke Ueki is a middle school student who is chosen to be the Earth's representative in a battle against the other planets. He is given the power to manipulate plants and use them to fight his opponents. Ueki is an airhead and a big eater, but he is also a kind and compassionate person who is willing to fight for what he believes in. He is joined by a group of friends who also have elemental powers, and together they must face the challenges of the battle and learn to work together as a team.
